Im using Windows vista basic, and I can download torrents but when i put them in the client it doesnt download, even if I want to download torrents with many seeders.

You do not say which version torrent client you are using. Your problem has nothing to do with XP. Some torrent clients will work correctly right after installing them (bit torrent for one), while others you will need to give your PC a static IP address and configure the port the client uses and configure port forwarding in your router (utorrent and azureus are two). Don't know much about Vista. But some torrents refuse to start even on XP. Try a different torrent.

Also check that your firewall is correctly configured to allow traffic to and from your client.
