How did your cat get up there?
He/she will probably come down when they are ready. If they have only been up there a short time, give it an hour. If you live somewhere where it is hot, or other health danger in staying on the roof, call the firemen back and beg for help. If that doesn't work, call the humane society. If you have a vet, call them and ask them what you can do - they may know other resources.

Is there a window to the roof? Shake a bag of treats, the cat will come right in!

Just leave it be. The longer you try to coax the cat down, the longer it'll stay up there. He found his way up, he'll most likely find his way back down.
BUT if you hear him crying later on, he probably can't figure out how to get down, so you'll need to find a ladder to go get him.

Get the cats favourite toy, or probably more effectively, its favourite food. What makes it run to you? opening a can of wet food? or rustling the bag of dry food? Get in his line of sight, call him & make sure he sees & here's you open the can (or whatever). He got up there, he'll find a way down.

call her or him and bribe it with a can of cat food-depending on how high your roof is you might be able to climb up there your self and get it-or someone that you know may be able to go up and get it-
good luck and hope you get your cat down safely!!

start a conversation with him or her then go in the house for about 30 minutes he or he will wonder where you went then come back with some tuna and/or milk and go back inside wait about 15 minutes and look out your window and he or she will be enjoying the snack

Open a can of his favorite food and put it down near where he can smell it.
He'll be down in no time!
