I set some chicken breast out on my counter to defrost while I was at work. When i got home they were completely defrosted but I decided I didn't want to make them and put them back in the freezer. Will they still be good if I defrost them again and cook them?

Probably not. If you freeze something then let it defrost it goes bad because it was at room temperature then got frozen again. Suggestion if you aren't going to eat meat that you defrosted put it in the fridge and it will still be good for only a day. Hope it helps.

I wouldn't refreeze for risk of freezer burn and an off taste.
You could just boil or bake them plain tonight for chicken salad or use in a casserole later.

No way.

You should always defrost your meat in the refrigerator. Never on the counter.

They should be ok. If chicken is spoiled you will smell it immediately. What happens when you thaw and refreeze meat is that the consistency breaks down as water freezing breaks down the cellular structure of the meat.

I sure would not use them not if you refroze them, it's better to be safe than sorry through them out.
