I think prepping food in advance defintely helps. Grill chicken, steak, salmon to toss with a salad (watch out of high-carb veggies like carrots and onions). And prep hard-boiled eggs so you can make a quick egg salad or eat it as-is with a little salt and pepper.

Also, think of what you would normally eat and find a low-carb substitute for it instead of eliminating it. Instead of cheese and crackers, eat cheese and a slice of cucumber (here too, watch out for high-carb cheeses, check the labels). Do a stir-fry minus the rice or noodles.

Easy on-the-go lunches:
Greek Salad
Chef Salad
Wrap Sandwiches (low-carb tortilla wraps with meats, cheese, veggies, or even leftovers like meatloaf or roasted chicken)
Quesadillas (again with low-carb tortillas)
Stir-fry (no rice or noodles, watch out for sugary condiments like duck sauce)
Sushi (sashimi...without the rice)
Omelet
Burger without the bun

Buy low carb wraps and use them with tuna, bacon and tomato, cheese and chicken etc.
Check out a cookbook by George Stella called Low Carb and Loving It, should be in the library, he has great recipes in it and lost a ton of weight himself on low carb food.

Yea. Don't do it. Its a fad. And a dangerous one at that. We need carbs to live. If you don't get enough you get what's called Ketosis. Just eat things in moderation and you'll be fine. If you're worried about weight, eat in moderation and excercise, any other diet doesn't work. It only works temporarily and then your body responds because its not receiving the right nutrients/ enough nutrients/ the right balance. Fad diets are such a mass scam. Do some research, and learn how your body works and what it needs.

If you eat carbs, which you need to be healthy, eat good carbs like whole wheat bread and whole wheat pasta. It's the refined carbs you have to worry about.

Low carb bread and lunchmeat are my usual fare. I also have access to microwave at work, so I may bring some eggs and scramble them.

tuna w/ mayo, veggies, yogurt, fruit, but dont elimate carbs from ur diet, as many other people have said, it is bad for you, instead of getting rid of carbs, you could join a local gym and naturally burn carbs and fat.
