I've liked my best mates sis since a long time. Yeah, i kno abt the supposed 'rules' and all, but you dont think of all that before you fall for someone.
i think she likes me too, but we've never gone out.
I didn't ask her out to avoid any uncomfortabl situations, but I met her again today and I know I still like her.
I know about the rules and all, but I was thinking, if I am good enough to be his
I mean I will be more careful with my relationship if i date her, and that i shall treat her really well.
what do i do....somewhere i think it's unfair.....

First have you talked with your mate about it? If not then do so and make sure you are honest. If so and he has objections then find out what they are. If his sis and you share the same feelings, it is not for him to stand in the way. It is good that as a brother he has his sister's feelings and well being in concern that's part of being kin. But, if you feel you'd lose him as a friend if you dated his sister, then the friendship perhaps is not as strong as you both assume it to be. Be sensitive, tactful and above all honest with both of them and yourself.

You should speak to your friend and tell him you like his sister and that you're thinking of starting a relationship with her. If he is a good friend then he should be happy that his best mate wants to be with his sister. He already knows that you're a good guy or he wouldn't be you're mate. Go for it, life is too short to follow "rules"

Why shouldn't you be able to date her? If you are a respectable man who treats people well, your friend shouldn't be opposed. If you aren't a nice guy, you might have some convincing to do. Talk to your friend, tell him how you feel about his sister, and take it from there. Good luck.

Ive dated one of my bro's mate's it was a short relationship but there was no awkwardness with my bro of anything, screw the rules i say :O)

you ask him if it would be ok he will respect that you have asked him, and if he respects you and her he shouldnt have too much of a problem with it!!!
