Try the Atkins diet. I lost like 75 pounds in like 3 months.
Just make sure you work out at least 3 times a week and keep active on things you love to do. If you don't want to buy all those expensive books on the Atkins diet, do some research on yahoo for free Atkins diet recipes

My friend went on a low carb diet and after about a week she got sort of sick, and felt weak. Her doctor told her to get off it right away, and she didn't lose any weight! So since then I have been scared to try, even though in magazines and stuff you hear about people losing a lot.

yes I was successful, it took about 2 months to lose 10 lbs, I would recommend instead of giving up bread all togather use wheat bread, thats what helped me lose all the weight, stay away from the white bread and eat some wheat bread that is loaded with fiber and will help you on your low carb diet even faster! good luck
