I hear people say things like " One TRUE God , or the TRUTH of Jesus Christ" and stuff like that all the time. But is it the Truth? Do they know it because they feel it? Do they feel it because they know it?

I tend to use the word Truth differently.

I can have Faith or Believe that my car will get me to work today.

I will not KNOW that my car will get me to work today until it actually gets me to work.

And thats the Truth.

I know just what you mean. But actually, you rely on REASON to assess the probability of your car reaching your desired destination. You factor in its maintenance, the conditions of the road, the weather, your prior knowledge of where work is and how to best get there, etc etc...

That's all reason. Faith would be based on nothing more than a blind hope.

Because by saying theirs is the truth, they don't have to deal with the knowledge that all they truly have is faith. For all their pointing at their bible as proof of their belief, it is simply a book, written by men who "say" they were Divinely inspired.

Ones religion should first rewrite ones internal landscape, before it attempts to shine onto the external, until that is done it's like trying to tell people you know about farming and all you have to show is an empty field and the promise that there will be proof coming.

We know it because it is so. It has been proven so for 2,000+ years. Men have tried and failed to prove it otherwise. If it remains true day after day, then at some time you have to realize it is the truth. Do you go around telling your family and friends they are liars because they care about you or do you accept the truth.

Yep, it bugs me too. No one can possibly know the truth. But I've come to realize that they actually believe it, so in a way it's truth, if only to them.
