If you have little to no chlorine level .Add 1 lb. (bag) per 10,000 gallons. fill a bucket with water then add the shock to the water in the bucket. This will help dissolve the shock a bit so that it does not sink to the bottom of the pool an set.

Shock will not maintain the level of chlorine very long so, make sure you add chlorine tablets also. I am guessing you are using a floater to hold the chlorine tablets.

The Shocker huh?
How nice it is to have a pool. Don't stress. It's strong stuff so use maybe 1/4 of what is in the bottle to begin with. Test it again after you sack out for a few hours "working" on your tan. Should see a difference in about 3 hours. Margaritas?

Once again a pool(water) question in the "snooker & pool" section of Yahoo Answers......I have no idea....maybe you could throw a bunch of billiard or snooker balls and maybe the "sweat" salt from all of the handling will help your problem...don't have any idea as to how many it would take but depending on the size of the pool.....l a lot more the normal 15 in a rack.....maybe you could throw in a bunch of cue sticks as well and that might add a little more salt to the water....either way it appears that I am drowning in trying to be cute with this POOL question.....good luck!!

normally the shock will said add one packet for every 12,000 gallons. My pool is and 18 X 36 and its about 25,000. So I normally add two lbs of shock.
