I wish that people would not advise others not to use medicines...what may cause horrible side effects for one person may save the life of another.

You did the right thing by stopping the medication if the side effects were bad, but I did not see you mention if you had told your doctor or whoever prescribed it. You should do that right away.

Yes, I had terrible side effects. I tried it for a period of six months and gained fifty pounds. I was completely apathetic, didn't have the motivation to do anything and when I tried to taper down to the next lowest dose, I got brain zaps, electric shock sensations, dizziness, extreme fatigue and nausea. It would not go away. I finally had to go back up to the original dose and open the capsules and remove one ball per day until I got down to just five little balls per capsule and then I discontinued them altogether. A month later, I was still zapping, having electric shocks sensations, exhaustion, and nausea. It was so bad that it would wake me up in the middle of the night and it was miserable. I hate this stuff. Its poisen as far as I am concerned. I would warn anyone thinking of taking it to reconsider. It took me a total of seven months to stop taking it and I was sick for eight months total. My weight began to drop as I stopped taking it, though I still have about twenty pounds to go. I've never felt so awful in my whole life.

I couldn't handle the side effects from it, but it does help some people. All medications effect people differently.

When I was on it, I mainly had weight gain. However, when I was looking for proof that others were gaining weight, I ran into people that talked about brain zaps, and electric shocks in their bodies. They listed other things too, but I don't remember. I am glad you stopped taking it.
