they always around and say stuff and start rumors! how to over come this ? and they think i am a single mother! why is that?

ignore them. it will go away. people find a target for a while then get bored and move on to another one. it's sad.
you could always confront them as well. it would make you feel a lot better.

You would need to be more specific in your question. People don't usually talk about you for no reason what so ever. What are you doing to make people talk about you... maybe you're just not being open enough for anyone to really get to know you, which will always start speculation and rumors.

There will be many people who say good and many others who say bad.
What you need to do is get a filtering system going, filter out what isn't true or what is meaningless to you. Ultimately does it matter what someone who doesn't know you says?
Keep your friends close and your mind open.
