What have I done to deserve the abuse that some of you hurl out at me? Is it because I disagree with you that you like to abuse and insult me? Have I offended you by disagreeing with you? Is it because I ask you questions that make you think that you dislike me or even hate me? Is it because of the Baphomet picture? Do I make you angry because I use my freedom of speech? Is this your lame attempt to try to break me down so that I come crawling to you and want to convert to your religion? Is it because I am a Freethinker/Agnostic/Humanist? Is it because I defend myself when some of you like to insult and talk down to non Christians and even non religious people in a condescending way? I'm interested in the feedback.

Father K it's not you. All I'm saying is that some Christians do this not all.

As a freethinker / christian / spiritualist, it bothers me that those who would proclaim to be loving behave thus just because you believe differently than they do.

A person silenced is a friend lost. I count you amongst my friends in here. Don't be silent.

Ironically, not many proclaimers of Jesus in here make that list.

Sorry to here you are getting so many attacks on you. It is always wise to ask questions and then seek out the truth. Those who claim they are christians but show hate are not acting as Christ:

"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

—John 13:34-35

This is a mark of a true christian loving someone despite what they feel toward them. I suggest reading the scriptures and seeking the truth.

so your question is to 'some' christians and not all?

i have not hurled anything at you
i have not insulted nor abused you
you have not offended me by your disagreeing to my beliefs
I like questions that make me think and search for answers
I have not nor will ever try to 'break you down'
nor do i speak to you or others in condescending ways, for i think that takes malicious planning of speech, and I only speak what is in my heart.

If we arent challenged by non-believers (and this goes for any religious choice) then we are not free thinkers.... who search for truth and wisdom daily... we are meerly minions of a 'religion' rather than faith

This is sorta weird, but I went and looked at your profile to see some of the questions you've asked in the past and didn't see any real offensive questions (didn't take the time to look at answers). I came back to answer this question that I personally didn't see much to be offended about, but then I re-read your question.

And I'm wondering, did you read over your question before posting it? You were doing okay in keeping it calm up until you started calling them lame and accusing them of violating your freedom of speech and thinking they want to convert you and they do so by being ugly. I dunno, maybe I'm reading it wrong, but it sounds like you started to get mad and do some name-calling insults ... like I said, maybe I'm reading it wrong.

But the question itself is sort of unanswerable, only that they don't apply in my case, I've never been insulting to you. The reason people become insulting and do name-calling is lack of maturity; it's pretty plain and simple.

Looks like you've gotten to some people (for what-ever reason.)

Just remember not every one is who they say they are...on the Internet. Just because someone labels themselves a Christian, doesn't mean they are walking with Jesus Christ.

You will know a tree by it's fruit. Jesus wasn't into insulting people, only rebuking them when they were wrong.

I don't hate you, nor do I want to insult you.

In His Service...

You have done nothing to deserve this. This just shows the imperfection of mankind and the cruelty of some. I have seen this type of slander on both sides of the table for no apparent reason.

May you forgive them. They need it.
