I have come down to two amps the RF P8002 or the RF P10002. The P3D4 subs carry a 500 watt rms! The P8002 puts out 400 watts rms and the P10002 puts out 500 watts rms. But i was told that the P10002 might pull too much power and kill your battery. What do you guys think would be the best amp for my two rockfords P3D4 (Dual 4 ohm voice coals).
I drive a 2000 pontiac grand am!

If you have the money, get the bigger one, duh! The bass will be more clear with more power.

As for the battery-killing thing, not so.
Your alternator would go out first.
To prevent this, as well as voltage drop and dimming headlights:
Do the Big3 Upgrade (power -charge- wire from alt. to batt., ground from batt. to frame, and ground from frame to engine block) all in 4g or bigger wire.

Good Luck!

are they 10s or 12s? if 10s then they have 400rms and 12s have 500rms. for 2 subs you want to push around 700-800 for the 10s and 800-1000 for the 12s.
