I like them, haha.
What I find ironic is this: Ten or more years ago, when they actually served meals on a lot of flights, everyone complained about how bad airline food was. That was what people were making jokes about. Now people are making jokes about the little bags of airline peanuts. So what's worse - crappy food or no food? It seems like people forgot how bad airline meals were, haha. I guess people just like free stuff, even if it's terrible. ("Here, have a nasty dried up turkey sandwich with processed American cheese product. It's free.")

They're a salty, they're tasty, they're single serviing! What more can you ask for in a peanut bag?
Funny story: While flying Southwest with an elderly family member whose birthday it was, the stewardesses made him a crown out of peanut bags and coffee stirrers while we were in flight. It was incredible.

With the prevalence of people w/ peanut allergies, not many airlines carry peanuts anymore. Little bags of pretzels now.

I don't even know why they bother... "Here, passenger, we value you so much we're going to give you a little teenie weenie pouch of crappy peanuts that some people are allergic to... if you want more, just ask!"
It's a joke.
