Are there any bad effects of marijuana when taken with a daily regime of seroquel, lamictal, or buspar? Off the cuff answers will be tolerated, but answers backed by research will always catch my eye.

I've read that usually mixing weed with lamictal and/or seroquel usually makes you more paranoid and anxious. Some even said that the seroquel and weed made them feel like they were really happy but after the bud wore off they felt like they were walking on the moon. But my cousin took seroquel and smoked weed and seemed fine to me. Might just depend on the person. Being a bud smoker myself nothing has ever turned out good when i mixed pills with the bud. I would recommend not doing it.

Marijuana is psycho-active as are seroquel, and buspirion.

Seroquel is indicated for bipolar disorder, that in itself is a contraindication for using marijuana, not in conjunction with the meds but in conjunction with the disorder. If you are seroquel for mood stability marijuana exacerbates paranoid ideation in bipolar where the patient is entering or into the manic phase of the illness.

Here is my take on Pot. for some people it can be used effectively to block the nausea from chemo-therapies associated with cancer drugs, but should never be used when a psychiatric diagnosis is present. Pot does not have specific indications and with each variant effect can differ substantially. The best thing to do if you are on psych meds it not intermix with any recreational psycho-active substance (ie Pot,, Alcohol, Coke )

I think that might be a thing where each person is different . I been smoking weed since 1964 , and since the 80's I.v been on a lot of med.s for depression , anxiety , and pain . I had 7 surgery's . In my case i quit all my med's except for cymbalta , I really believe the pot helps and is not a problem to smoke wail taking med's , but that's me . Try norml . org , A lot of fact's about weed , Good luck!!

Being HIV Positive and taking certain medication is contraindicated. However, most medications can be changed for someone who is breastfeeding.

I take lamictal and seroquel and I still smoke a few times a week. No research specifically has been conducted on this specific situation/combination. Try it and see if it works for you!

I take all of those meds, and then some. I smoke every day and have had no side effects. My psychiatrist knows, and he just said to be careful about the disinhibition associated with smoke.

ummm, I would say that unless it has been medically prescribed you should not smoke it because it is ILLEGAL !! Is that enough of a contraindication????
