i have a friend who has started playing with them, they are 30mg ritalins, but he says its not doing anything to him even tho he took 3! everything ive looked up on the topic says its like a speed-y type thing but he seems very "normal" and said he hasnt noticed any affect what could make it have no effect?

so unless he takes a lot like more than 90mg...he wont get a buzz, so he should just not bother? is there a site that backs that info up so i can show him its not worth his time or the risk?

Medications like Ritalin have an opposite effect on people who do not have ADD/ADHD. I was put on ritalin when I was younger because of neurocardiosyncopy. What that means is, when I stood up, my blood pressure would drop and my heart rate would speed up. The ritalin was used to slow my heart rate and regulate my blood pressure.

Tell him it's doing nothing for him because he doesn't have the condition it's used for. All he is doing is introducing potentially damaging chemicals into his body. Some of the side effects include psychotic episodes. Go to this website to see some facts: http://www.gdcada.org/statistics/ritalin.htm

Yes, it's a mild stimulant. You would need to take a lot of it to get a buzz and at that level there is a chance of serious complications.
