Can someone recommend where to buy laminate wood floors? Who has the best product for the price? I have been to Sam's and Costco, who has a better product and why? And what about Lumber Liquidators? Thanks Angela

I purchased mine at Home Depot. 30 days later, they had a sale on the kind I bought, so I went in and asked them about not telling me it was going to go on sale. They refunded the difference between what I paid and the sale price. I bought DuPont Elite. It is guaranteed for 30 years and you can even take it up and put in down up to three times and it remains under warranty. If you decide to move or change flooring in your rooms, you just take it up and reinstall it later.

The stuff comes in various grades so coming up with the cheapest is hard. You have to compare equal products.

Remember with laminate, if it scratches, you can't refinish the floor as there's no extra wood. Never scratch you say? Not what I'm hearing from people who have it. I'd be reading everything I could first and talking to dealers in laminates like Lumber Liquidators before I'd consider the discount stores like Sam's.

Go for real wood. The laminates get dented and then the surface becomes breached. Real wood has a better resale value as well. Lumber Liquidators is a good place as far as I have heard from friends and contractors. Good Luck!
