Some softwares will generally work with Vista if it worked with XP. Run the program compatibility wizard if it still exists in Vista it was in XP to make stuff for 98 work. it does work. Also peripherals like printers and scanners wont work too well with Vista either, i dont think Vista is worth the trouble until they release the first service pack for it, which could be months.

Because "XP software" is software for use with Microsoft Windows XP. You will need to purchase licenses to use software for Microsoft Windows Vista.

Every couple of years, Microsoft comes out with a new op sys. Its usually buggy and some of your older software will NEVER work on it. I think Microsoft secretly gets payola from software manufactures for doing this! It means they can sell us poor suckers the same software modifed to run on the new system over again!

With any new OS you are going to find problems with software or drivers not working properly. If you check the forums you should be able to find a solution or work around until the manufacturers are able to fix the problems.
