I'd go with May 18, 2007 because it is a Friday, which seems to stick better in some people's heads for an RSVP date. Plus the post office does deliver that day. You can take that first weekend to see who hasn't responded yet and start up on the next steps on Monday. Whatever you choose, give yourself three or four weeks, cuz you'll have to go chasing after people. It always seems to work that way.

With these dates, I would make the RSVP date 5/18/2007. Give yourself 14 days to run down the final count for your reception

Typically a month is normal. So May 15 or somewhere in that area.

End of April is definately TOO early. Your caterer normally needs a headcount a week before, so you don't need RSVPs back that soon.

My RSVPs are due back April 7, and I'm getting married April 28.

A month before the wedding is good. Gives you time to make any additional arrangements for the people who will respond later than you RSVP date anyway. Gotta be prepared for them :)

I got married on Oct 21 and we asked them back by Oct 1. that gave us plenty of time to get the head count to the caterer, but our caterer said 5 days prior to the day for the final. I would say end of May to be on the safe side. Ask your caterer when the LAST day you need to get to her by and that should help you decide on a return date.

I would say the end of April, so you can have the numbers when talkting to the caterers and such people.
