One little tip to remember, DO NOT open the lid during cooking. That releases some of the heat and will add to your cooking time.
There are loads of good recipes on the web, just go looking!
Have fun with it, it is a great tool to have.

Yea that's pretty much what you do. The whole Idea is that you don't have to do much more than that. Usually you start on high and lower it to low for many hours (like all day) but it depends on what you are cooking. Many cookbooks available with directions and recipes. Just remember to keep the lid on and not keep opening to stir and so forth. It lets the heat out real fast and slows the process down.

Crock Pots are pretty easy going. They usually only have a couple of settings so it will depend on how long you are going to need something.
Example: I put a roast a little water and an onion in mine, set it on low and go to work. 10 hours later I have cooked meat and gravy drippings to add to baked potato's or whatever.
You can cook a turkey in it if it fits. Find some crock pot recipes and go by what temp or how long to cook. Good Luck.

Awesome kitchen tool honey!
If you don't have the instruction cooking booklet anymore go to a book store or store that sells magazines. I.E. Waldens Book
They have a magazine that is specifically for crockpot and slowcooker recipes.
They even have great ones on line!

yes pretty much . My crock pot cooks wonderful roast. I brown it the night before. I put the roast, carrot, onion and potatoes in. I cook it on low for about 8 hours. When I come home from work I have supper waiting. It cooks a great turkey breast. Look online for some free recipes

What you need are recipes, not instructions. Chances are there is just a low and high, or a few more temperature settings. Just put in the ingredients and turn it on.

I add meat, potatoes, and fresh veggies. Sometimes I use Campbell's soups and add rice too. You can just add everything and turn it on! Stir from time to time...add some seasoning. Super easy! Good luck!
