Okay, I'm assuming you want the first person in the U.S. Well there was someone that they now refer to as "Patient Zero" who they believe passed on AIDS to many other homosexual men in spas in the U.S. His name was Gaetan Dugas, an airline pilot from Canada, and he contacted the virus when he was in South America.

This is impossible to answer as many people died before AIDS was identified. All doctors knew was that people were dying from a similar set of symptoms.
