I am level 5 on Yahoo Answers and was classed as "Top Contributor".This week there is no mention of this classification. Is there a reason for this?

Yahoo! have introduced a new rule with Top Contributor status - you now need a best answer percentage of at least 10% to qualify.

it a mystery also they do not include all the points that you make of a specific catagory and as to what the standards are to qualify ,nobody knows
you dont even have to be in the top ten of a specific catagory to be a top contributor
i cant figure it out
maybe somebody else knows the rules of this game.??
i got 7% and i am the top contributor in environment ,with 240 best answers ,but i got at least double that of best answers in environment so not all are included

You need to have a best answer rate of at least 10%, since your percentage has now dropped to 6% you are no longer a top contributor

You have answered a lot of questions recently, questions which are still open, some of these questions might be awarded the best answer, which could increase your persentage.
Lots of top contributers don't like the orange banner, you have shown them a way out.

The badges are dynamic, to quote the A-Team

congrats to you ..thanks for asking so if I'm new and answer 10 questions and get one best answer as in 10% I could be best contributor geese this means me never get orange badge no fair me thinks and what if you contribute to all categories think system flawed but well done to all you oranges
