I just found out that I have gotten a slot for Airborne school this summer, Does anyone have any tips that could help me. I am in Rotc, and I have heard cadets don't get treated so well there.

I am not so worried about physical training I can already easily max the pt test, and have some of the highest scores in my battalion

Keep your knees and feet together.
Listen to the Black Hats.
Do not anticipate hitting the ground.
Listen to the Black Hats.
Drink water, you will sweat a lot.
Listen to the Black Hats.
Don't do anything stupid on your time off.
And finally... Listen to the Black Hats.

Keep your feet and knees together.
Be prepared to run 6 miles, and run everywhere you go. There will be NO walking unless in the mess hall the entire time you are there. Youll be treated pretty much the same as anyone else, once you get out though you will be a cherry and will have to prove yourself by doing random embarrasing and stupid tasks. lol, God bless America.

My husband went to airborne school as a cadet. He loved it. They treated him the same as everyone else. If you are going to Benning, it is extremely hot and humid in the summer. Be in shape, you'll do a ton of running.

Do what the black hats tell you, when they tell you, at the double-time. Don't try to think, react. Be ready for intimidation, lots of physical training and more than a little bs. It's designed to weed out those who can't make it. Remember it's only three weeks. Only you can make yourself quit.
P.S. If you don't have your buddy pound your wings on, you are a complete wuss.
P.P.S. Remember- if you have a main chute malfunction, you have the rest of your life to deploy your reserve chute.

Physical conditioning will be stressed there ( running, push up, chin ups). Keep your mouth shut and do as you are told. There are always a few in each class that can't help themselves and take the heat off of everyone else.

feet and knees together.
The black hats love to torture (in this order) marine force recon, officers, cadets, nco's, and privates.
even if you don't feel it, behave as if you are psychotically motivated at all times. Always double time, never walk. Volunteer for anything, whether or not you know what it is.

Keep in shape both physically and mentally and don't let a few drill seargents intimidate you because most are soft in the gut.
