heres the thing: my bf lives in texas at the time and hes coming over during the summer to see me. were planning on going to the movies and since hes coming with a friend of his, i thought it would be good to bring my best friend with me so it would be like a double date. she has never had a bf and shes really self-conscious so shes nervous and worried that my bf's friend wont like her. to add to the issue, ive never met my bf's friend and he tells me that he is very flirty and hes gonna most likely jokingly hit on me. this would make my friend feel like crap, obviously. shes never been on a date like this and while i dont expect her to even like the guy, i still want her to have a good time? what can i do to help her with her self-esteem, and how do i respond to this guy if he does flirt with me in front of her?

Give your girlfriend all the info you can about the guy she will be dating. Tell her right out he is a flirt and likes to flirt with all girls. Also ask your boyfriend to help out. each time his friend flirts with you ask him to flirt with your girlfriend. Show both the guy and the girl it is just a game.

Do not respond to his flirting at all. If this guy is outgoing though it may be a good thing because he will make your friend feel comfortable. Tell your friend in advance that you do not think it is going to work out with his friend so she has no pressure. Make it more like a hang out then a date.
