she told me that I am never serious and sure I joke a lot but I would say that I get serious when I need to. how can I convey to her that I want to be/can be serious? she told me she wanted to tell me something but doesn't since im never serious. what do i do?

It's a bad sign because it means she doesn't see you as being mature enough to handle 'serious things'. You should be fun 95% of the time, but know when to turn it off. She's probably not just upset that you're goofy, but she may think you are goofy about the wrong things. Are you laughing at serious matters like death and things like that? She may not like that...
What you need to do is sit down and talk to her, saying the same things you just told the whole world and tell her to just say it and talk with her.

Having a great sense of humor is a must and we as woman want that humor in a mate, but at the same time we want him to be understanding and receptive of what is on our minds as well. My BF is a complete clown but he knows when he needs to be serious and hear me out...Just tune in a little better sweetie. When you talk to a woman she needs to know that you are listening so you need to nod your head or say " OK" while she is talking to you or else your just guna piss her off and she is going to close up and walk away. You men lose interest what is coming from our mouths so acknowledging that you hear the blabber coming out makes us feel secure... Good luck sweetie!

Perhaps the two of you aren't a good match...don't change yourself to suit someone else though...a good sense of humor is very important and if she cannot see that you can be serious when the situation deserves it, then she's not bothering to get to know the real you.

i'm the same way... it's only because i think life is short to be serious all the time... tell her what you feel and that you're serious about her... but if she stresses all the time... damn... i sure don't know.... i don't deal with people that doesn't enjoy life as much as i do...

THATS HOW MY LAST BF WAS. ALL HE DID WAS JOKE AROUND AND SURE HE WAS FUNNY BUT AFTER A WHILE IT GOT REALLY ANOYING. SO PLEASE TAKE MY ADVICE AND STOP JOKING AROUND WITH HER.
