Adjust your top row headings so that when you scroll down, the row heading tabs stay put to where you can still see them, no matter how far you scroll down? Thanks!

Freeze Panes.

After you have the headings in the top row, click in cell A2. Then choose Window menu --> Freeze Panes. That will keep the top row in place for you.

If your headings take more than one row, just click in the row immediately below them ... for example, cell A3 if your headings take up two rows. Good luck!

Look at the scrollbar on the right side of your spreadsheet. At the very very top, above the upward arrow...see that little "thing?" Grab that and drag it down a bit. You'll see that you're "splitting" the spreadsheed into two panes. The top pane should have your tabs in it (if not, adjust the split and use the scroll bar to scroll up until you have the tabs). If you can't find the "thing," you can go to Window > Split, and that will split the sheet for you. Drag the vertical split off the right side of the sheet, and adjust the horizontal split until you can see your tabs.

Now, you can "freeze" the top pane. Click anywhere in your tabs, and go to Window > Freeze Panes. That will freeze your tabs, and prevent them from being scrolled.

There you go!

First, use the cursor to select the row immediately below where you want to freeze the scrolling. Then click on the main menu under 'Window' and then 'Freeze Panes.'
Then when you scroll down, the row headings will stay there.
Good luck

On the top of your excel spread sheet go to "Window", then scroll down to "Freeze Panes".

First you want to ensure that the cell is active where you want the freeze pane to be held - BEFORE you go through the above steps.

Hope this helps and have a great day!

Highlight the entire row by clicking on the row number and the select window on the menu bar and then select freeze pane. To switch it off unfreeze pane.

Drag the little marker (directly above the right hand scroll bar - when you point at it the cursor should change), downwards.
