If you ask them that question, they can't give you a straight answer. Have you ever asked them about it? I have known some JW's & they were very kind, sincere people but they sure have been deceived.

99% of Jehovah's Witnesses have the hope of living forever on a paradise earth as God has promised. That is the promises of God's Kingdom that we pray for in the Lord's Prayer ..."thy Kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven" Matt. 6: 9 & 10
You have to realize that most of the 144,000 were filled long ago, many were the early Christians and those faithful down through the ages. Why does everyone ignore God's promise that the "meek will inherit the earth" and assume that they are all going to heaven or hell? If that is the case, who are these "meek"?
Jesus commanded that the "good news of the kingdom will be preached through out the earth and then the end would come." Matt 24: 14 That is the message Jehovah's Witnesses are sharing with their neighbors, because Jesus commanded us to, and because people are not being taught about God's Kingdom in their respective religions.
The blessing are brought out for us in the following scriptures:
Ps 104: 5; Is 45:18; Ecc. 1: 4; Ps 37:10 & 11 & 29; Is 11: 6-9; Is. 65: 21 - 25; Is. 35: 5 - 7; Is 33: 24; Ps. 72: 16; Rev. 11: 18; Rev. 21: 3 & 4; Dan. 2: 44; 1 Cor. 15: 24-26; John 5: 28 & 29
Please look up the scriptures in your bible and see what conclusion you come to.

you are tell part of the true 144000 are going to be redeem from earth (Revelation 14:1-5) but the great crowd that is in revelation 7:1-5 you won´t find in the bible in revelation that said that they are going to be redeem from earth so we can not said that they are going to be redeem if the bible didn´t said it. If someone can find in the bible that verse then they will but otherwise don´t. They are going to stay in earth and they are the one that Jesus in Matthews 5:5 said that will inherit the earth, a new earth.
the 144,000 are people from all earth according to revelation 14:5 Jews and gentiles. the great crowd according to revelation 7:2-5 is from all the earth. the number is not figurative is literal how do we know? simple in revelation 7 it said that the great crowd is uncountable just before said the number 144,000 so that means that this number is countable.
Both groups are saved one to rule on high with Jesus only the earth (revelation 5:10) and the great crowd are the one that will be ruled by Jesus and 144,000.
if this is wrong use the bible cite verse and use not just one part of the information to prove not our opinion.

This is in reply to erroneous statement made by Eyota Xin above:
Jehovah's Witnesses NEVER said any such thing. This was published in the secular magazine "LOOK." This lie was EXPOSED by the Watchtower of May 1, 1953, in an article running from page 261 through 264 of that issue, in an article entitled “Keeping a Tight Grip on the Word of Life."
Please note the following excerpt from that article:
"Popular magazines loosen the grip of many on the Word of life. Look, February 26, 1952, tried to appear sensational by apparently suddenly discovering the Bible was filled with errors. It called attention to about half a dozen spurious passages, such as Mark 16:9-20, John 8:1-11 and 1 John 5:7. After citing these few big errors Look glibly states that Bible scholars agree that there are from 20,000 to 50,000 errors in the Bible. Does not this leave the impression that these thousands of errors are serious ones, like those mentioned, and hence that the Bible is wholly unreliable? Actually, serious errors are remarkably few, and years ago they were ferreted out and eliminated in modern translations. Scholars recognize how remarkably accurate has been the preservation of the Scriptures. In a mercenary endeavor to be sensational Look misrepresented the Bible, subtly discrediting it. The secular press in general leaps to the opportunity to shake confidence in the Bible."
In the future, kindly check the facts and thus avoid spreading false stories about us. Thank you.

The 144,000 refer to those in the tribes that will be taken up before the great tribulation.
They are 12,000 from each of the tribes of Judah that will be sealed in the end times. This is found in Revelation 7:4-8.
If you read on, Revelation 7:9-10, and Revelation 7:13-14
Revelation 7:9-10
9 After this I beheld, and lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;
10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.
Revelation 7:13-14
And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?
And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
I should add that although it was said above, the God of Moses is not Satan. The Bible is very clear that Moses followed the one true living God, who came down from heaven to save mankind from the power of Sin. The old laws were flawed, and intended to be that way, in order to fulfill prophecy and to allow for the sacrifice of Jesus and his resurrection.

As a Jehovah's Witness, let me begin my remarks by stating that the authority that I will use will be the Bible. I would also suggest that you look up the cited scriptures in your own Bible. We do not say that only 144,000 souls will be saved. We do say that the 144,000 are destined to rule as kings with Jesus Christ in God's Heavenly Kingdom. This is stated in the scriptures at Revelation 20:4,6 The 144,000 are anointed Christians that are chosen by God. hese ones are called priests and it states that they will reign with Christ as Kings.
As for those who do not have a heavenly calling: the scriptures at Revelation 7:9 reveals that they will be part of the "Great Crowd' who will reside on a restored Paradise earth. Those who make up the Great Crowd are innumerable. Hope this answers your question.

This is actually misinterpreted by JW cultists.
7:1-4 The vision of four angels standing at the four corners of the earth and holding back the four winds means that a great storm is about to burst on the world. However, the angels are told to delay this terrible destruction until the servants of God have been sealed on their foreheads. Twelve thousand persons from each of the twelve tribes of Israel are then sealed.
7:5-8 The 144,000 are clearly Jewish believers, not members of some 20th century Gentile cult. These Jewish saints are saved during the early part of the Tribulation. The seal on their foreheads brands them as belonging to God and guarantees that they will be preserved alive during the ensuing seven years.
Two tribes are absent from the list: Ephraim and Dan. Perhaps they are omitted because they were leaders in idolatry. Some think that the Antichrist will come from Dan (Gen_49:17). The tribes of Joseph and Levi are included in the list, Joseph doubtless taking the place of his son, Ephraim.

Actually that isn't true. The truth behind that is this. as stated in Revelation in the bible, the 144,000 refers to those anointed ones that will die and go to heaven but there is also other sheep of another flock which it says, no man is able to number that have the hope of everlasting life on earth.
Note the scripture at Revelation 7:9 which you can check in any bible. Also check

Jehovah Witnesses have interpreted the Book of Revelation incorrectly, and their understanding of the 144,000 is flawed.

The preaching work is performed because Jesus commanded it, not because it benefits Jehovah's Witnesses personally or as a religion. As a side point,
Actually, Jehovah's Witnesses expect that many thousands of the 144,000 have never set foot in a Kingdom Hall or read 'The Watchtower'.
The fact is that the vast majority of Witnesses hope to enjoy life ON EARTH forever, rather than in heaven. Jehovah's Witnesses understand heaven to refer to the dwelling place of spirit creatures such as Jesus and the angels. They understand the Scriptures to teach that exactly 144,000 humans will join Christ Jesus as kings and priests to administer God's Kingdom (which will soon replace all earthly governments).
(Daniel 2:44) God of heaven will set up a kingdom... It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite
(Revelation 14:1) Lamb [Jesus] standing upon the Mount Zion, and with him a hundred and forty-four thousand
(Revelation 20:6) they will be priests of God and of the Christ, and will rule as kings with him
The men and women who make up the 144,000 are selected by God from among two thousand years of Christians. Over whom will they rule? Over the vast majority of mankind, most of whom will have been raised from the dead after Armageddon.
(John 11:23,24) Jesus said to her: “Your brother will rise.” Martha said to him: “I know he will rise in the resurrection on the last day.”
Hell is NOT someplace/something mankind needs to fear; there is no suffering in the grave. Sometime after the resurrection, death and "hell" will themselves be destroyed.
(Ecclesiastes 9:5) For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all
(Ecclesiastes 9:10) there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in Sheol ["hell"]
(Revelation 20:14) And death and Hades ["hell"] were hurled into the lake of fire
Almighty Jehovah God selects those few who have the heavenly calling. Each person "feels" his own hope and each person's hope remains unquestioned by his fellow Christians. Still the vast majority (literally more than 99.9%*) of Jehovah's Witnesses expect an EARTHLY hope, the same hope given to Adam and Eve.
(Genesis 1:28) God blessed them and God said to them: “Be fruitful and become many and fill THE EARTH and subdue it [caps added]
(Genesis 2:17) You must not eat from it, for in the day you eat from it you will positively die [so never eating from that tree means never dying]
