When you are at church, mass, temple, mosque, or around others that are of strong faith, do you clean up your language or use "Christianeese" or whatever language is acceptable in that faith? Do you behave differently than you would at work or around others outside the church?

No. I use the same language at church as I do other places. I live what I say. I don't swear or cuss so there's no bad language to clean up.

Thanks for asking. God bless.

I used to behave differently for different occasions: home, church, work, work function, etc.

But since giving my life over to Christ I have become more 'uniform' in my language, and have been able to overcome - through the grace of Jesus - any foul or inappropriate language. It sure has been a battle at times!

The only difference to 'everyday' compared to worship, devotions, Bible study, and Holy Eucharist is that I am more sober (I don't mean as opposed to drunk, but as opposed to light-hearted) as this is time 100% devoted to our Lord and we should give him our complete attention and extra respect during this time.

i know 3 languages and from my experience of such things i would use the same language. people and i think it's very unpolite to talk in a different language than everyone else. that's if you know their language. and i think a true person with a true personality and this applies to true cristians as well behave the same no matter where they are. if they are at school or at work they scould behave exactly the same as they do at home. that's a person that has one true personality and a true cristian.

My Grandparents church had early services in German.
I'm the same person inside and outside of church.
I have been known to "cuss" in German every now and then, but my kids are catching on so I'm cleaning up my act!

LOL! When I first saw this question I immediately thought, "Yeah, sometimes our Priest does the service in Latin or Enochian", but no - I don't clean up my language or speak any differently at temple.

Nope. I speak fluent "Christianeese" all the time. God "cleaned up" my language decades ago. I probably speak it more often a church then work, but the situation is more proper for it.

Oh course you should. That is a sign of respect and it should be shown at church, work, school, to any authority figures. There is nothing wrong with having social etiquette.
