Its unlikely because the EU are trying to standardise ages so they can issue a common EU driving licence.

I don't know if it's true but i think it would be a good idea to have one age for everything instead of the system now where you can get married and smoke at 16, drive and join the army at 17 and drink at 18
To me it is strange that you can get married and join the army but are not allowed to go to a pub. 18 might be a good age for everything
