I guess it is a little complicated. It depends on many factors.
-what type of relationship is it? (Steady relationship, one night stand, affair etc.)
-It would also depend on the values and morals of the guy.
In my opinion, a shotgun wedding never works out because it will eventually end. This would cause more pain to the child. However even if you don't get married a real man will always be there emotionally and financially.
P.S. As a father of two I can tell all the guys out there facing a similar situation, you will be rewarded. Children are God's greatest gift and nothing beats the satisfaction of raising them right!

Keeping it or not keeping it (whether you go the abortion or adoption route) is up to the mother--the dad gets a say, but if they can't agree, the mom always wins the showdown.
As for what I'd do--it totally depends on the woman. If I don't see a future for us, I'd tell her that before she decides about the baby. If I was half planning to marry her someday (I could see spending my life with her, but hadn't known her long enough to propose), I'd let her know that and we'd speed things up. If we are in that in-between status (she's great but I'm not sure how great we are together), I'd take a day or two to do some soul searching as to which way to go. I'd try to avoid a middle route--I want us together or separated, not 'trying' to have a relationship.
Truth, I don't know what I'd do until it happens, and it would totally depend on how our relationship was going.

You play, you pay. It's a life lesson.
Get a girl pregnant and you have a handful of options:
- marry her because you love her
- help raise the child in whatever capacity possible
- consider adoption - there are lots of deserving families out there who would love a child.

A real man will take care of the baby. As far as the girl goes whether he stays with her or not. He needs to keep a good relationship with the mother for the childs sake

Marry her and try to be the best husband and father I could be. It's called doing the right thing. Obviously, the girl is pregnant because the guy she was with, she loved enough to have sex with, and the guy may feel the same way.

ok, nicely I also have a query for you. Please have not got intercourse for an prolonged time, ok?! you do not sound eduacted at this in any respect and could in all risk finally end up pregnant. ok, so women have eggs, adult men have sperm. whilst a woman is fertile and has intercourse, the sperm with fertilize an egg. Which motives a sprint one!

well if i were a guy i would stay to help....well i can't say to much cuz i'm prego and my bf just left me but i just got back with my ex fiance and i know the baby was his the whole time so no wrries...........

personally i would marry her but my second choice would give it up for adoption if a family member couldn,t take car of it.
