Your question is very interesting and thought provoking. I think people all over the globe keep thinking of their ex long after he/she has moved on. Sometimes the emotional attachment was so strong that it's difficult to get that person out of mind. Also, there may be guilt involved or regret. It varies from relationship to relationship. As for me, I think about my ex about once a year, like on Christmas.

Anyway, you have raised a highly interesting issue.

The only reason anybody would do that is if they have unresolved issues. Otherwise it's a bit like thinking of all of your old cars: you don't unless somebody brings it up (Hey remember back when you had that old Chevy?).

Whatever. Exes... might as well be thinking about places you lived once but don't really care to go back to.

...unresolved stuff....no closure...unexplained departures...these all lead people to this very unsettled and disastrous moment reasonably. This is not a unique experience you're feeling really...pretty normal stuff if you were the one left hanging. Were you the dumper?...or the dumpee? Makes a huge difference ya know! Love does funny stuff to us inadvertently sometimes....this just happens to be one of them...that's all! Good luck either way. Heart-brake sucks for everyone....even you!

I can't stop thinking of my ex. It's been like a month and a half. I dunno how normal that is but I still miss him and am not over him. Although, this morning while getting ready I found myself caught up in thoughts of him and got so mad! I am so over giving so much time to thoughts of him when I don't think he's thinking about me :/ Grrrrrrrr.

i think it is the should have, would have, could have. i do think abt him from time to time but it is def starting to taper and my social life is picking back up* Maybe these people made some type of impact in our lives. One that may have changed us forever. Also, love is not a like a light switch, you can't turn it on or off just like that.
