I got a computer game for my birthday and it doesn't work, I've been told that I don't have sertain programmes on my computer to play it. Could I download the programmes I need from the internet, and if so what sites would I need to go to, to get these programmes?

Most games require directx to play the game on your pc. Just google it and its free!

if you'd have said what's missing I probably could have told you where to get the missing programs so you can play your game
the chances are you'll need them for other games anyway
you can't download new games but you can get some old ones from these sites

That's very hard to say without knowing what programs you need. What programs do they say you need, you can probably get them on the Internet...try searching.
