this guy i have been casually dating for 3 years is a real sucker! he doesnt love me, he only knows me when he needs me - we dont even have a real relationship - he was the person i thought i loved but that was a front because as i got to know him better - i found out he was a dog - anyway, i allowed him to borrow some money from me last year - the agreement was that he would be paying me back and to this day i have not received one dollar - now, this morning he asks to borrow money when he has a job, and i said NO - he wants to get mad and tell me i let him down and am just like the rest

Oh, Honey! Thetruth, you need to loose this asshole like YESTERDAY. He's using you! He can't even give you the proper resepect of a decent relationship after three years ( and God only knows what he's being "doing" on the side in that amount of time!) That there is a jerk that just wants you to give, give, give without thoughts for yourself or your own well-being. He's trying to slap you with a pity party & make you feel bad for him; how HOW pathetic! I wouldn't speak to him ever again. He'll try to get angry & throw more crap at you about how much of a rotten person you are, but just be strong & ignore him. Chalk that money you lent him a year ago up as a loss & move on to bigger & better things. Just make sure the next possible guy that comes walking into your sights is independant, strong & sweet. Sweetheart remind this guy the money he owes you. Should he agreeably repay you count your blessings and your new founded wealth. Then dump this dude and get on with your life. After three years he has proven he isn't worth your effort let alone you affections. Perhaps you should then do a bit of soul searching to find out what attracted you to this guy in the first place. I'm sorry to tell you this, but it sounds like he used you. Guys like this are scum because they're so manipulative. You did nothing wrong, and you shouldn't even try to reason with a guy like this. Don't tell him that he's in the wrong for not paying you back, just slap his *** with a court date and it sounds like you should have a fair case. Ignore the other people in here who are calling you stupid...I don't think you are. I like to think that I'm pretty smart, but love and romantic feelings mess everything up, especially for me in the past. All you can do is walk away from this situation (hopefully with a settlement in your favor) and learn a lesson.

He's the loser in this case.I've never lent money to anyone; only because I know it's possible they either won't pay it back or will give grief because they have to pay it back. Let him think what he wants about you, if he has a job; he should have enough for what he needs, if he doesn't, that's his problem and not yours.

What a total jerk. You did the right thing. Don't let him bully you or make you feel guilty. Just say, "you didn't pay me back last time, why would I lend you money again? I'm not a bank and I don't think I have "I'm Stupid" on my forhead". Let him get mad. It's his problem, not yours.

Please, for your own sake, get rid of this guy. Remove him completely from your life. You can't be happy with people like that around to make you feel bad about yourself. You shouldn't give someone your precious time if they don't love you, because they don't deserve it. I would just forget the money he owes you, dogs never pay debts.
