Usually not, even when I preach. (I'm the pastor of a biker church.)

If I'm going to a funeral I might wear a suit IF it's not a biker funeral and IF the people don't know me there. The same goes for weddings.

When I first started working in the ministry I wore a suit. It seemed to scare away the people who I was trying to reach.

I understand why some people dress up for church. For some it's just a tradition- that's what their family has always done. Some do it out of respect for GOD's house. Some have been told that they have to dress up. Some churches won't let you stay unless you dress up.

For me, it was getting in the way. The Great Commission is from the Lord Jesus Christ Himself. So the reasons for dressing up (that I listed in the last paragraph) aren't good enough reasons. I have to obey GOD first.

I usually wear what's clean & comfortable, once in a while I'll dress up. Most of the people to go to the same church I do don't dress up either.

I go straight from work so I wear what ever I wear to work... And if I don't have work before church I wear jeans! Only time I dress up is for maybe Easter or Christmas!

My church has a "casual" dress code. Jeans and the likes are acceptable. But you can wear a suit and tie if you want. Even the pastor often wears "dockets" and a polo shirt.

We believe that God looks not on the outer man (or his clothes) but on the heart.

No I do not. I do not wear rags, but I often will wear jeans and a decent shirt, and sneakers. God does not care what you wear. I am not there for a fashion show. Years ago women would wear hats and their sunday best, the men would wear suits, sometimes I got the impression that they were in church to see who could out do each others wardrobe.

I come as I am or how I feel. Sometimes I wear a suit (rarely). I'll show up one day in jeans and Harley T-Shirts, and the next in a nice button up shirt with slacks. I just be myself, and dont pretend to be somebody I'm not. I also behave the same in church as I would anywhere else. Just be real.

I go casually dressed. Jesus doesn't care what u wear....he looks at the heart. do u think he looks any differently at the homeless person on the street then he does me or anyone else. Your in Church to worship him.

I once went to this Church where they dressed to the 9s. It was almost like one was trying to outdo the other. It was a real turn off and I never went back.
