1) It's only murder when a human kills a human.

2) The Judeo-Christian view of God is that he's omnipotent; there have yet to be any leaders of men who can back up that claim.

3) One can create as well as destroy; the other can only destroy.

Well, people such as Hitler, The leader in Cambodia that killed millions of their own people and others are humans; therefore subject able to imperfections and disorderly behavior. Their atrocities can only be a defect from the source; their creator. God created us and these other men in his image right? Okay, well being that God is a selfish, jealous, sadistic, mass murderer who is never sated with his creations until he destroys them, they were only following his example and trying to be just like him. Not only that, but he killed his own children just because they ate from a tree he told them not to! He tormented his own son when he just could have forgiven mankind!

Obviously I don't believe in such a contradictory being because I have intelligence, but for those who do, they will justify his behavior by saying that he is God and can do whatever he wishes to his creations. Still, that does not excuse his cruel behavior nor does it convince me of the sanctity of his being and the love that radiates from his bloody hands.

Time, basically.

Everyone loathes Hitler.

Most people disagree with what Napoleon did and those who fought him are regarded as heroes, but there's a fine cognac named after him, and no one seems to hate his historical stature.

The Bible God is worshipped despite the OT.

Matthew 5:45 KJV: That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

Bad things happen to good people and to bad people. God is not evil, but he is wrathful and just. Our definition of justice does not really apply, as we don't know what He knows.

Bad things have happened to me and my family during my life, but it is not that God hates me or is punishing me. In fact, all of those times have ended up strengthening me and my faith in Jesus. It can be seen as a test; a way to separate the wheat from the chaff.

Just as He created you, so may He decide that your time in this life has ended. There is absolutely nothing unfair in that.

Consider if someone lent you their car, and came back a few days later and asked for it back. It's not unfair for them to do so, is it?

So it is with God. From Him came the gift of life itself, and there is not anything wrong with Him deciding that it is time for you to return to Him.

God gives you a life and He takes it away. He is the only one who can also restore your life after you die. So that is the difference. : )

As the owner and creator of life, he has the right to make such decisions. Mere humans do not.

Kind of like asking what is the difference between my spending the money in my bank account, and you spending it. I own it, you don't.

God is a loving and merciful God. He is also a God to be feared.

There isn't any, except it's usually harder for the earthly dictators to get people to believe they really "love" them.

God knows all there is to know, and knows definitively who the bad guys are.

Tyrannical dictators just kill people they're prejudice against.

Let me ask you this. Would you kill someone if you knew for sure they intended to kill your child? If you answered yes, would you be doing it out of love or out of hate?

God is love. Everything he does is done out of love.

I'm surprised he's tolerated wicked people as long as he has, but his patience won't last forever.

Perhaps you should repent and kneel at the foot of the cross. It's either now or the moment after you die. Only if you wait until you die, I don't think you're going to find a patient loving Father yearning to comfort you . . .
