I just got a tetanus shot yesterday and they took blood for blood work. I was curious why the tetanus shot acutally hurts so bad compared to any other shot i've had.

It's because the medicine injected into Ur muscle for tetanus is thick & takes awhile to break down & get out of that muscle.

Good Question! I had a tetanus shot 2 weeks ago. I think it is probably something associated to where you are injected - directly into the muscle. I had pain in my arm for 2 weeks. I'm guessing it has something to do with the piercing of the muscle tissue, and it requires a week or so to regrow the damaged area.
