Finger painting is always fun. Lay out a huge piece of paper and let her get messy. Or just have her do her hand prints and stuff.

The finger paint thing is good, but either use Crayola Color Wonders - you have to buy a pack of special paint and paper, but it can't mess anywhere else, including clothes.

Or... Paint with pudding. It's fun, and ok if she eats it.

Rubber stamps are fun for that age, also, stringing fruity Cheerios on string for a necklace she can wear and eat later. That's great for motor skills as well.

Finger painting is always fun for kids. Messy but lots of fun. I usually get a large piece of paper and lay it on the kitchen floor and just let them have fun.

Playdough is always a big hit also.
At 18 months kids are pretty interested in everything ... lol
Just have fun

This is great. Tie a treat or surprise or toy to the end of a long piece of yarn. Hide it. Then take the yarn all over the house and tell her to follow the string and she'll find the treat. You'll love the smiles.

My daughter loves crafts. one of her favorites at that age was rolling the wheels of a plastic car through paint, and then rolling it on paper. She also liked painting with jell-o crystals mixed with a bit of water. It smells great, is fine if she tastes it, and has a neat 3D texture.

Playdough, mine loves the haircut machine. Finger paint. Colors, paint. Just be prepared for a mess.

try dying macaroni with food coloring and gluing it to paper.

Watch her close to make sure she does not eat the macaroni, but the small picking up of things helps develop fine motor skills.

I like this recipe because it is all natural stuff if some happens to go in the mouth :)
