I'm fairly sure he would know about the sex act itself. You can start the discussion by talking about masterbation, male and female, and reasons why they are used. Talk about dildos and why they might be used. What actualy gets manipulated and what it feels like. Then exlain that the tongue does nearly the same action as the dildo . Youv'e also got to explain the emotional feeling and attachment that should be present.
Kids naturly want only to know about the act itself and when parents explain the act they should also explain the emotional rollercoaster that could accompany it especially when there is a huge trusting bond in the relationship. Don't be afraid to used words you would use with your husband or lover. He's heard them before in school anyway. Blow jobs, BJ , eating her out , even anal sex (the safe sex, I hear). Good Luck.

That is a question that a 14 year old doesn't need to know the answer to. However, it's better to hear it from you than from peers. Just explain that it is a way that ADULTS show their love and devotion to one another through pleasure. The amount of detail you give is your personal decision, but at 14, I think he/she can handle the "facts".

There are two senarios why your 14yr old asks you:
1- they already know, and wants to know if you tell him the truth
2- in school they were talking about it, and their friends were boasting, so they are asking you too see what they were talking about.
I think its time for 'the talk'. It would be better in the long run if you let them know that whatever they ask you, they will get a good and honest response. But if you do talk about it, give them both sides of the story, about pregnancy (if you talk too much about STD/Is, they might be put off for life lol).
Good luck, they arent innocent anymore, dont give them the crap about birds and the bees. They will think that you arent taking them seriously.
All the best;

Well. . . this is a difficult subject. All kids gain knowledge at their own pace. First you need to think about how much knowledge you want your child to have, how much your child is learning from peers, and what corrections you want to make with their knowledge.
It's sad to say, but the truth is, most children this age have already engaged in some sort of sexual act ( not necessarily meaning intercourse)
I would personally ask your child what they think it is, let them explain their knowledge of the subject and simply correct any misguidance they may have received from peers. In this conversation, try not to give too much information. You do not want to expand their knowledge, simply guide their current knowledge.

Explain it like this: Its sex orally. If you 14y/o is male tell him its kissing a womans vagina, if you 14 y/o daughter wants to know tell her she is too young and that she has another 7 years before she is ready for that.

Could you explain its a form of oral sex that a man performs on a woman. I believe in most schools sex education is in 9th or 8th grade. Has she had this class yet? I remeber we went over alot of the "slang" terms and cleared up any misconceptions as well.

I'd try to explain it in a way that wasn't x-rated, rather more along the lines of how a health-ed teacher would explain it.
I would also be sure to talk about the risks of STD's and HIV

WOW, at 14 you need to be straight forward! Just explain that it is a man (or another female) pleasuring a woman by using his mouth and tongue!

Not that I am promoting sexual activity for your 14yr old but, 14yr olds arent that innocent and if they dont know, then I must ask how you have managed to keep your child so isolated? And thats not a bad thing!
