Is there a difference between saying that and Christianity's Hell threat?

that quote is so fitting, because just like that guy's victims, "it" will certainly die either way and is only obeying for some respite from torture while "it" is alive

Not really!
That's why I don't believe in the Hell threat. Hell is simply the common grave. Nothing more, nothing less. People make too much of it, and try to threaten people with it.

No, it is the same. In fact, all religions are the same. Religion is the thief that steals the life out of the living. The Son of God is the good man who make alive that which religion kills...and how does he do it? By telling us the truth, that we are God's children, therefore, because we have his dna, we are eternal and full of good, even hitler, saddam, and my favorite, ted, as in bundy.

No, Christians do not give out hell threats, we can't send you to hell. We simply inform you of it.
