I think it's a disadvantage. When I was a teenageer and even a young adult I always looked older for my age, I'm tall and for some reason people saw something about me that made it seem like I was a few years older than I really was. Because of this, people thought that I should be more mature or know more or whatever. I hated it.

My younger bro was like that--he's a year younger than me, but by the time I was 15 he looked older than I did! He has thick red hair on his head, legs, arms...pretty much everywhere that I've seen. :) I think it's an advantage, because usually guys look younger than girls. Girls mature earlier than boys (usually), and it always threw me off--even my freshman year, the guys looked really young. So I think it's an advantage, except that having to shave early might be a pain in the neck!

It's an advantage now, but it will suck when you're 40. I'm the other way around. I'm 22 and look 17. It can be a pain in the @ss, but I keep telling myself that I'll love it when I'm older.

It's an advantage. People will take you more seriously because you look more like an adult. Of course, it helps even more if you *act* like an adult too, which you didn't mention.

When I was in HS, people always thought I was much older than I was. I'd tell them I was a freshman, and they'd ask "what college?", when I meant HS. Being more mature helped me in college and beyond, too - at work people took me more seriously.

Funny thing - as I got older (i'm early 40's now), I started to look much younger than I was. Which is really cool.

May you have such good luck, too.
