I DID ask the vet too, I was just wondering what you all thought. We already have an appt for him this afternoon, but I wondered if any of you could help out too. The vet has him on a very small diet. Only two spoonfuls of soft food, two times a day, with vitamins sprinkled on top and some antibiotics given twice daily. He won't drink out of bowl. but if I put it on top of his food he will drink it to try to get to his food, so yes he has urninated. but no poop.

Call your emergency clinic that treated him or your regular vet to ask, just to be sure. There are times when medications can cause constipation. He might not be eating that much food, but what goes in has to come out, so it could be the antibiotics are binding him up.

Has it eatten, it might be turning all it has eatten into energy to help himself heal. But talk to your vet.
When I had my wisdom teeth out, they needed to knock me out so I would not feel the pain. It took me 3 days before I did a number 2, so if they use the same stuff to knock people out for operations as they use on dogs then it might be a normal thing for you dog not to have a number 2 for 3 days.
