I have cut and pasted a few sections of text since then. Is there any way to find the older thing I cut? Does windows store those cuts anywhere?

Try going to one of the programs like Word and do "Edit" > "Office Clipboard" (you may have to use the "down arrows" at the bottom of the menu list to make it show up). Once it comes up, see if what you are looking for is still there. I think it holds the last 24 items or something like that.

Sorry. Cut and paste uses the clipboard once you have used it the previous one is gone.
