Dry Scalp is a more polite way to say dandruff. Most of the time it is excess build up of conditioner on the hair that flakes off.

Almost everyone will get dandruff at sometime in their life. It is an incurable disease of the scalp. The only symptoms are itching and shedding very fine specks. It is easy to treat and can be subdued with special shampoos ( Gary Callan # 10)
A dry scalp is usually caused by external influences and manifests itself in loose skin. This skin comes away from the scalp in flakes. To cure this we need to moisturise the scalp and remove the adverse influence. Although this is the easier of the two to 'cure' the effects are often more dramatic, and disturbing.

Dry scalp is where your head/hair isn't moisturized enough. Dandruff is not always from having a dry scalp. Sometimes it is, but other times it can be from overactive oil glands in your skin. So, you can have oily dandruff or dry dandruff depending on your body...

i dont know the difference ,but if you have dandruff use alittle table salt and scrub it on your scalp and after 10 min go for a shower , it makes alot of difference

i dont no but never use head and shoulders it achully motivates the scalp alowing dandruff to get off but make more if you get me

i dont think there is much of a difference but if you want to treat it you should use selson blue salon. i use it and it works.
