What do Radishes have in them since they are a vegetable and, are they OK to eat like a chip with a sandwich in replace of greasy chips??? Serious question....

I like to slice them and put them in water in a bowl, I don't fry them just to make it clear... But still I can eat as much as you would with your sandwich. Good or not any better?
