No need to be worried.

Because I'm not a fan of mint, I've used Tom's of Maine for years- I like the Silly Strawberry. Pediatric dentists I know have no objection either.

I'm not familiar with this one so I would advise using the "Crest for Kids" for your children. The silica is probably used as an anticaking agent in the tooth paste as it is in most all of them. Although anytime the red flag goes up with a parent, we are usually right for feeling that way. Trust your instincts especially where your children are concerned. Good luck!

silica is simply finely ground sand. it is the abrasive that gives the toothpaste better cleaning ability and is found in virtually all toothpastes.
