try leave in conditioner, that should cut down on the puffiness.

On a dry day, after you comb your hair it can tend to fly up and separate. That is because the hair strands have the same electrical charge, like-charges repel.
The solution to this problem is simply to wet your hair or to apply some hair spray. You can rub your brush or hair with a dryer sheet. There are also anti-static sprays that eliminate the problem.

It is caused by dry hair, but dryer sheets will only cause your hair to be oily. Try using a deep conditioner. Also after drying you hair with the dryer hit it with the cool button. It is not good to heat your hair and then leave it hot this dries it out more.

I have a couple of suggestions. One. Static is caused generally by dry air. Have you considered leaving a cup of water out? I have a friend who swears by this.
The other. I have seen girls at work moisturize their hands and then run them over their hair lightly. It seems to work for them.

I suggest that you spray a little bit of hairspray on your hands and pat down the fly-aways. Don't spray too much or you'll end up crunchy. =) Also, you could spray hairspray on a brush and run that through your hair, but I like the patting it down with your hands better. It's more accurate.

They make a hair spray just for that, but you may need a humidifier in your office that will get rid of the problem.

Sounds like you may need to make sure your work area is grounded. thouch the screws on the bottom of your keyboard to ground yourself. Hairspray will help you as well :)
