In theory, yes, but it's very rare. The uterine contractions to expell the miscarried baby usually affect the live one.

Yes, my friend carried a twin and lost the other, however, it was not an easy pregnancy, as her body was confused and kept trying to expel what was left of the first baby. She had to be off her feet for several months and still ended up with an early birth. However the little girl is 10 now and healthy and beautiful, so worth every bit of it!

Yes you can. There are a lot of women start out with twins. But before they are even 6 or 7 weeks pregnant lose one baby.

yes it happens. It can happen and there be a still birth or an actual miscarriage. Also there is vanishing twin syndrome where the body reabsorbs one fetus and the sac may still be there.

yes, this happened to my mother in law.
my sister in law was actually a twin, but her twin brother died in the womb at 20 weeks, they never knew why. so she didn't actually miscarry, she had a stillbirth cause he never passed and they didnt remove him because of the other baby, they just watched her very carefully, she had weekly doctor visits from 20 weeks on.
