Stability. A man needs to know that you can take care of him if he got hit by a bus tomorrow. more importantly, he needs to know that you would want to. Not out of obligation, but out of love. If your love for him wouldn't change through the worst case scenarios and he knows that then it's only a matter of time before he pops the question.
Men need to know that his woman isn't drama, cares about his well being, and could be a good mother to his children. and all that falls into stability. couldn't hurt to have a woman who isn't insecure, jealous, or petty either. that'll make him put it off for forever.

Hmm. Stalker like mentality, crazy nagging capabilities, and the ability to change personalities at the drop of a hat.
Seriously now, there is no set formula for this. You can not force a man to love or marry you. If you are patient and caring and can be real then it will happen when it's supposed to happen. If you have to force it then why would you want it?

Be honest and true to yourself. Ask yourself am I ready to stay with this man for the rest of my life and do I trust this man with my life?

be kind to him..
pick your battles.. if you fight over every little thing.. he wont' take you serious about the important stuff...
secondly don't pressure him.. you don't like being pressured into sex.. so don't pressure him into commitment..
he'll ask when he's ready
cause chances are you if you pressure him when he's not ready.. you may end up in divorce
