Consider that cotton ball as the packing material. It's there so that the pills dont break during shipping. So yeah, you can throw it away unless you plan on shaking your pill bottle everyday.

I'm pretty sure that you can throw it out. My understanding is that there may have been a reason in the past for having the cotton in there, but it is now there more because of tradition rather than serving any practical purpose.

throw it out. the cotton can absord the moisture in the bottle and impression the medicine residences. i think of they placed it in there to soak up area so the pills dont shake around and harm. i concept i grew to become into the only individual to ever ask your self this. lol
