Occasionally the midline is slightly "off" during treatment with orthodontics. In most cases "it was off from the beginning" which was one reason for orthodontic treatment and we are working to put "it" and all of the "other teeth" into the "correct alignment" along with "correcting the midline." I'm sure he is "aware" of this but when we're working on you, we are looking at your face at an "angle." So it might be a good idea just to mention it so he can take a quick look and make any necessary adjustments that may be needed. Sometimes it's the small things that we over look and it's always "helpful" for the patient to let us know when something just doesn't seem quite right to them. Hope I've been of some help and that you get your midline corrected soon! Good luck!

Additional info: The midline is usually corrected during the final stages of ortho when everything gets tightened up.

Yes! I am going through it too. Grrr at braces!!! The denstist will sort out the straightness of your teeth first and then the finishing touches will make sure that the midline is correct. Mine were way off centre but I can see the improvement!

Do you mean that the top and lower two fronts are not aligned? if thats the case, then yes. And i also want to kill my ortho for it!! I'm planning to go to another dentist and wear it again to correct it coz i think my jaw is misalignening to the left bcoz of it, talk about inefficiency! go run to another ortho who has a good record in doing this, and ask for after shots of his works if available. Incompetent orthos are a wasteof money and time, and they cant even pay you back for torture you went thru w/ braces!!!

If you mean the top and bottom are not aligned then yes, but they can be fixed. I think thats what the rubber bands are for...I don't know. But i have that same problem...but they are fixing it, so im sure you will be ok.
