You should immediately (probably too late now) put it in cold water -- not TOO icy, but maybe a bowl with a cube of ice. Leave it in the water for 10 minutes or so. This can reduce the likelihood of blistering, or at least how bad the blister will get. Cover the burn with antibiotic ointment and a band-aid. Change the band-aid a couple of times a day, continuing to use the antibiotic ointment. Some ointments also have a mild painkiller in them. If it's bad enough, a doctor can prescribe a stronger ointment with painkiller. Keep it covered until healed to prevent infection.

run cool water over the affected area. If it's a first degree burn (no blisters of any kind) rub some fresh tomato on it.
If it's a second degree burn (blisters developed) you can apply aloe, either natural or a prepared aloe gel. If you do have aloe, cut one leaf off, slice it through the middle and apply the gel that forms on the affected area.
For third degree burns, you really need to take her to the doctor or ER.

Run it under cold water for at least 10 min.

If its an open wound dress it with a non fluffy dressing. Then get to hospital.

If its bigger than 1 1/4 inch in diameter get it checked over by a professional.

cold water on it as soon as its burnt, i mean very quickle like your life depends on it, then leave it there for at least 5 minutes under running cold water, its the ingress of residual heat into the skin that causes the ral pain and damage, use water to cool it, dont be fooled into not leaving it for 5 minutes, it takes that long to cool down internally

run cool water over it. With ice you have the potential to add insult to injury with freeze burning. Use aloe vera after you have dried it off

Stop typing and run it under cold water. If it's a severe burn you might want to see your doctor.

keep ice (in a towel) on the finger, give her advil/tylenol, and watch for infection if it blisters.

Rub a tomato slice on it. I am serious. I work in restaurant and we burn ourselves all the time. It takes the burn away really well and helps it heal faster.

You really shouldn't put it in water. It makes it blister.
